Marvel Action Figures Are Great

By Patty Goff

Small children and older people like to read about all of the comic book characters that exist today. The book publishers realize that marvel action figures are quite popular since they really look like the heroes and villains that are drawn within the scripts. A company called Mego was able to produce the best looking dolls ever made.

A great man named Stan Lee had the good sense to create a strong good looking chap called Thor. Thor was totally against all evil people and he tried his best to bring good into the world. He wears a unique costume which includes a long cape and helmet.

Thor lets his blond locks flow freely across his broad shoulders and the women really go crazy over this image. Mego took great care to make Thor look as if he stepped right out of the comic book. Anyone can place a comb through the dolls long hair and they can even undress him if necessary.

Another marvelous toy made by Mego is the beautiful and unique Invisible Girl. She is dressed in her blue costume which can also be seen in the Fantastic Four books. Her hair is also rooted and has a flip at the end of it. A version made by Mattel is similar to the other Barbie dolls and it is very generic looking. A business called Toy Biz made a statue of her which is very unrealistic in appearance. Whenever people see the Mego Invisible Girl doll they immediately think about her comic book husband.

Mr. Fantastic is the leader of the Fantastic Four group and he is a person that has the ability to stretch his body. Back in the early 70's people enjoyed purchasing his image through the Mego toy company. People today can always buy this small doll through Toy Biz. The arms on this particular smaller figure are able to stretch which is very unique. Whenever the movies are successful the toy companies will always produce more doll images for everyone to enjoy.

A big green giant named the Incredible Hulk was also added to the Mego toy list. This statue was based upon the popular television series which aired within the United States. The figure wore a pair of ripped shorts and he had a very ugly grin across his face. Later productions of this toy came in a smaller version and they were also made through Toy Biz.

Peter Parker was a weak teenage boy who could not defend himself against the school bullies who picked on him everyday. After a spider bit him this small young man became the powerful Spiderman. During their most successful time Mego created a doll which looked like this comic book character.

People who lived during the 1970's were happy since they could take Spiderman's clothes off and throw them into the washing machine. Spiderman could also interact with two of his enemies that were sure to do damage to everything around. Mego created The Lizard and Green Goblin during the same time period as Spiderman.
